Updated Meeting Calendar

Reminder: The June 18th meeting was cancelled. The next Region 8 meeting will be held September 17th at the Lifespan Center (Dial-A-Ride) in Charleston.

The agenda will contain the annual business items, if you would like additional topics to be covered please submit those by August 31st.

CVP Endorsement Summary & Presentations

At the CVP Endorsement meeting on May 21st, each organization requesting vehicles presented their stats and requests. The requests were voted on, and were unanimously endorsed by the Policy and Technical Committees.

HSTP Public Service Announcement

A 60-second radio advertisement will run from June 16th to June 19th two to four times per day on two different radio stations (WIXY 100.3 and WREE 92.5). The ad provides general information about the rural transportation services in our region and gives the website URL for specific contact information and more details.

Introduction of New HSTP Coordinator for Region 8

Zoe Keller is an Urban Planner at the Champaign County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC), who has worked with topics such as Hazard Mitigation, Emergency Preparedness, Safe Routes to School, and Rural Transit. Zoe is the Program Compliance Oversight Monitor (PCOM) for the Champaign County Area Rural Transit System (C-CARTS), and will be taking on the role of HSTP Coordinator for Region 8 on July 1, 2015. Starting on that date, please contact Zoe with anything related to HSTP Region 8.

Zoe was born and raised in Urbana and is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In her free time, she enjoys watching soccer and basketball, and spending time outdoors. Zoe is excited to work with you all in providing essential transportation services to the residents of Region 8!
